Method

  1. Rinse the rice then add the water, and a bit of salt.
  2. Make a paste of garlic, ginger and spices.
  3. Slice the chillies.
  4. On a relatively high heat, fry the garlic, ginger, spices, and chillies for a few seconds.
  5. Add the chickpeas and stir.
  6. After a minute or so, add the tomatoes.
  7. Boil the rice, then once bubbling, put to the lowest heat and cover. It should take about 10 minutes.
  8. Serve the rice with the curry on top.
